Children between the ages of 10 and 11 will on average spend 900 hours in the classroom, 1300 hours with family and friends and 2000 hours in front of a screen; scientists are arguing over how this will effect the brains development. Whilst I think the internet is a fantastic learning resource I find it alarming that children will use it as a starting point to appease boredom.
